What is Math Olympiads?
Math Olympiads is a parent-led math enrichment opportunity for 4th and 5th-grade students. The students will get an opportunity to use multiple strategies for out-of-the-box problem-solving and develop mathematical creativity and ingenuity. Students will individually complete contest competition tests once a month from November to March.
When and where do kids meet?
The students will meet at designated (TBD) rooms to give their contest. The date and time will be conveyed as soon as the decision is made. The test will be for 30 minutes and will have 5 problems to solve. The parent volunteers will send you practice sheets and sample problems for the students to practice and get ready for the real contest.
How can my child sign up?
Please complete the Google form ( https://forms.gle/4XE6y41nMmSJrpaw6). This program is PTA-sponsored. We ask for a donation of $25 for each student to cover the registration and operation costs. However, it's not mandatory for inclusion into the program. You can give the check (payable to Hirsch Elementary PTA) or cash to the office room or donate through here ( Future Fund). Please turn in both the Google form and the donations no later than October 15th.
